On July 26, 1948, Morris Schwartz founded Hill Electric Supply Co., Inc. in upstate New York with a mission to serve builders, contractors, and businesses with quality electrical supplies and exceptional service.
Today — 77 years later — we’re proud to continue that mission from our 43,000 sq. ft. facility in Glens Falls, supporting customers near and far with the same dedication to reliability and innovation.
Through the decades, we’ve grown:
In 1972, we launched Dale Electric Supply, our mail-order division, reaching customers across all 50 states.
In 1996, we went online with Dale-Electric.com, offering 600,000+ products from over 100 manufacturers.
By 1999, our reach became global, with sales in over 36 countries.
In 2003, we introduced our lighting retrofit department, helping customers improve efficiency and cut energy costs.
And most recently, in 2024, we launched EZEnergySave.com, where customers can instantly see their discounted pricing on LED lighting through utility rebates.
As we mark this milestone, we want to say thank you — to our customers, team, and community — for helping us power 77 years of progress.
