If dangerous faults occur, you want an electrical arc-proofing tape that outperforms to minimize damage; Scotch® Flame-Retardant Tape 77 is that tape. It provides fault-arc protection to nearby, wrapped cables and cable accessories when used to cover and insulate splices. When exposed to high temperatures, its intumescent elastomer backing is designed to create an insulating buildup of thick, charred matter. This UL Listed and RoHS 2011/65/EU Compliant adhesive is formulated to expand in fire to produce a char accumulation between the cable and the flames. These act as a firewall, providing a necessary fire barrier and heat shield to buffer neighboring cables and accessories. Read less
