Installers simply apply the strip, cut it with common tools, secure it in place with a 3M™ Fire Barrier RC-1 Restricting Collar, steel tie wire and/or 3M™ Composite Sheet CS-195+ and seal it with materials such as 3M™ Fire Barrier Sealant CP 25WB+ or Moldable Putty. This intumescent foam can be used to fill the annular space created by pipes and cables penetrating through fire-rated construction. It’s an alternative to mineral wool, bricks, pillows and runny, ineffective foams and is UL listed.

They are firestop tested for up to 4 hours of fire protection.
