3M™ 5450R Series Molded Rubber QS II Cable Repair Splice Kit includes 1 CIR 1/0A connector, 1 molded rubber splice body, 1 template and 2 silicone grease packets. The splice body included in this kit is made of specially formulated, peroxide cured EPDM rubber to provide long term sealing. The elongated splice body allows for the removal of up to 6 inches of damaged cable. It has a computer aided design that provides a compact size and optimal distribution of the electrical field. This kit is perfect for inline repair splicing of damaged cable. ANSI Certified and IEEE Approved.
- 1-piece, splice for joining JCN and CN distribution class power cables
- Designed for use with the special inline compression connector for connecting either aluminum or copper conductors
- Suitable for direct-burial, aerial installations and submerged locations
- Rated for 25/28 kV applications
