When you need your wires insulated, your choice should be 3M™ BBI-5A Bus Bar Heat Shrink Tubing. It has a 110 kV-rated insulation level to protect against random surges that could damage your installation. The insulation cover is color-coded so you can quickly identify the wire while maintaining an aesthetic appearance. When heated, it shrinks to the size of your wire for a secure fit. It can be used in outdoor applications, withstanding temperatures of -67 to 230 degrees F (-55 to 110 degrees C). This shrink tubing is RoHS 2011/65/EU Compliant and ASTM, IEC, ANSI, IEEE Approved for use in insulating bolted connections of round, square or rectangular bus bars.
- Suitable for copper or aluminum bus bars, metal-enclosed bus bars, metal-clad switchgear and substation switchgear
- Made of red cross-linked polyolefin
- Withstands temperatures of -67 to 230 degrees F (-55 to 110 degrees C)
- Flame-retardant
