3M™ Bus Bar Heat Shrink Tubing BBI-8A is ideal when you're looking for a protective shield that provides insulation and retains a clean look. Its BIL rating is 110 to 150 kV for good surge protection, and its I.D. measures 50-ft x 8.25-in. Use this tubing to insulate square, rectangular or round bus bar inline connections that are rated 5 to 35 kV. This product can be used with bus bars crafted from aluminum or copper and is also appropriate for use with substation and metal-clad switchgear and metal-enclosed bus bars. Wire identification is easy with the heat shrink tubing thanks to its color-coding, and inclement weather is no problem because it can stand up to temperatures ranging from -67 to 230 degrees F (-55 to 110 degrees C).
