Each kit contains sufficient quantities of material to make three single-phase terminations. The termination assemblies consist of a tubular insulator, high dielectric constant (Hi-K) stress control tube, conformable Hi-K stress controlling compound, and built-in environmental top seal. The insulator is made of a dark gray silicone rubber with advanced tracking resistant and hydrophobic properties. Note:Lugs need to be ordered separately. Exceptions:For T-150 Kits, 150 kV impulse level meets the impulse requirements for 35 kV class equipment where indoor terminations are used. 7620-T Kits are designed and assembled with stress controlling compound only.

The mastic tape offers an assured sealing interface between the cable jacket and cold shrink foldback jacket tube. The mastic strip seals around the optional, external ground conductor. The cold shrink jacket tube is made from chloride and sulfur free EPDM rubber. The seamless rubber tube from cable jacket to cable jacket minimizes sealing steps and moisture ingress paths.

The cold shrink splice body is a one-piece molded design made of special formulated silicone rubbers, while the cold shrink jacketing is made of EPDM rubber for physical protection. Each splice manufactured is factory tested to provide reliability.The splices can be used with standard copper (Cu) or aluminum (Al/Cu) inline compression (crimp type) connectors, and can be used for size transitions within the listed kit size range. They are designed to exceed minimum industry test standards, and have a BIL rating of 150 kV (equal to a 25 kV voltage class). The 5513A, 5514A, 5515A and 5516A QS-III splices meet or exceed the 15 kV Voltage Class rating requirements of IEEE 404. Each kit makes one splice.Note: Cable sizes shown below are for standard insulation thickness. Final determining factor is cable insulation O.D.
